Elise is the daughter of the internationally known horse trainer, Don Ulmer.  Elise began showing when she was two years old and she has trained and shown in a variety of events - reining, working cowhorse, cutting, hunter, english and western pleasure. She has assisted her father in training horses from the age of 16.  They trained in South Dakota at Ranch of Cherry Creek and Elise brought numerous titles to the ranch.


Following her father's lead, Elise is an international clinician. She has trained horses for 20 years and boasts many accomplishments plus is an NRCHA Judge.  Specializing in general horsemanship and western disciplines, Elise loves to help people and horses become a better working team. Lessons and clinics are available. 


Elise is a money/point earner in the NRCHA, NRHA, APHA, AQHA, and the NCHA. APHA Top 5 World in Ranch Riding, Reining, Working Cowhorse, Ranch Rail Pleasure finalist, and AQHA finalist.  She won Level One and was 3rd in the Open at the 2013 NCRCHA Futurity riding Stylish Blue Rey.  She has qualified several horses for the NRCHA World championships over the years. 


Elise has 14 Arabian National and Reserve National Championships and many Top Tens in Reining, Working Cow, Reined Cow, and Cutting.      


Elise moved to DeKalb, Texas in 2014 and is the owner/operator of Rancho Del Sol and Rising E Performance Horses, a full-service facility that offers training, boarding, layovers, and retirement for your horse.  The facility has over 60 stalls, 32 pipe pens, 11 turnouts, 6 pastures, and a 40-acre pasture. A large indoor arena, 60-foot round pen, 150-foot round pen is available to boarders along with a private tack room.
